POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender at Molly’s Bar and Grill, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Solicit feedback from guests and proactively address any concerns or issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere and build rapport with guests to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.

Sales and Revenue:
  • Actively promote beverage offerings and upsell premium drinks, specials, and add-ons to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest menu adjustments to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall financial success of the establishment.

Speed and Efficiency:
  • Efficiently prepare and serve beverages while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prioritize orders based on urgency and manage multiple tasks effectively during peak periods.
  • Minimize wait times for guests by ensuring smooth and streamlined service at all times.

Inventory Management:
  • Monitor liquor, beer, and wine inventory levels and coordinate with management to place orders as needed.
  • Ensure accurate pouring and portioning to minimize over-pouring and control costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area, including proper storage of supplies and sanitation of equipment.
  • Complete required training programs related to safety, hygiene, and responsible beverage service.

Team Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and collaborate to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Assist team members during busy periods and demonstrate a willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork and mutual respect.

Personal Development:
  • Take initiative to expand knowledge and skills through training opportunities, workshops, and self-study.
  • Set personal goals for professional growth and actively seek feedback from supervisors and peers.
  • Continuously strive to improve performance and contribute positively to the success of the team.

Attendance and Reliability:
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability by adhering to scheduled shifts and fulfilling duties consistently.
  • Notify management in advance of any anticipated absences or schedule conflicts.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the role and a strong work ethic through consistent attendance and performance.

Qualifications:
  • 21+ years of age or older
  • Previous experience as a Bartender or similar role in a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including cocktails, beers, and wines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, walking, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds (or more with a co-worker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
